Winkler On-Demand Transit FAQ's

What is the Winkler On-Demand Transit Pilot?

Winkler On-Demand Transit is a flexible public transportation service that allows you to book rides through a mobile app, similar to ride-sharing services, but within the Winkler area.  This service is offered on a trial basis to understand the needs of the community.  This service will only operate within the City limits of Winkler and Boundary Trails Health Centre.

What type of shuttle does the service operate?

The public transportation pilot will begin with one operating vehicle that has space for a total of 8 passengers including one wheelchair accessible space.   In the event that the shuttle needs maintenance, a backup shuttle capable of 6 total passengers, with space for a foldable wheelchair in the back will be utilized.

How does the service work?

Download the Blaise Transit app, enter your pickup and drop-off locations, your preferred trip times and a shuttle will be dispatched to you. The service can also be booked by using the website link: https://www.blaisetransit.com or Calling 431-451-4900 to book.
